We’re married!

We got married on Saturday, 2008-02-23 in Puebla, Mexico! We are so happy!

We’re just about to go on our honey moon, but here are a tiny few pre-taste photos taken by Stians brother while we’re waiting for the photos from the professional photographer and until we get time to sort our own 900 photos:

From 2008-02-23 We…

As said, more photos will come! Also thank you so much to all of the 160 guests (phew!) and all the others who wanted to come but couldn’t make it, your presence and greetings meant a lot to us!

Call for videos

We hope you’ve had a nice Christmas time and are looking forward to a great 2008! If you happen to have your good old video camcorder out, or some modern electronic camera or mobile phone that has a “video” button, perhaps you could take the chance now to make a little video greeting to be shown in our wedding?

We’ll add the subtitles, so all nationalities will be able to enjoy your carefully crafted warning-to-the-bride, or perhaps your spontaneous creative musical number with elephants! Any submissions are welcome, if you are also attending our celebrations in Mexico this will be your chance to connect with the other part of the audience not speaking your language, or if you can’t be there, this can be your Oscar Academy Awards-style speech from overseas. Remember the champagne!

Here’s more information on how to make and send us your video! We ask you to send the video so that we’ll have it before 1st of February, so we’ll have time to edit it together!

Hi, we promised to come back with some information on where to and how to travel around Mexico. The truth is that has not been easy trying to come with recommendations, there’s plenty of places to visit in Mexico; probably you will want to come back in a future to see other bits. Read about places in Mexico.

First of all, we’re sorry for not being very frequent in updating our website.

After several weeks of hard work involving visits to fancy paper stores, paper cutters and inkjet printers, we have finally completed the wedding invitations.

Last week we sealed and posted all the invitations (with a few exceptions due to missing addresses) using modern technology such as DHL, Royal Mail and when possible, personalised delivery.

We have put together some information about how to get there and where to stay in Puebla in the Visiting Mexico tab. In brief, we will be posting more info about places to visit and transport options from one city to another in Mexico. Any special request, let us know!

Vi har lagt ut noen bilder på vår Picasa Web for deres nytelse. Her er noen eksempler:

Getting established

As we (Stian and Gaby, as shown in the picture) are officially engaged and are getting established and old, it was about time that the new family got it’s very own, proper website. So here it is, soiland-reyes.com, the first invention of the Soiland-Reyes foundation. Initially there might be a great focus on our planned wedding, but we should also get started with some pictures pretty soon.

Since our intended audience is typically Norwegian or Mexican, the posts might appear in different languages. I’m not quite sure how we will manage that, but we’ll give it a try.
